Seth Rollins was recently involved in a horrifying attack by a fan on live television. As he made his exit from the ring, a man jumped the security barricade and tackled Rollins to the floor. Security became a key point of discussion after the incident.
As it turned out, the assailant was a mentally disturbed young man who fell for an online catfishing scam. He thought he had a business relationship with Rollins. When he ran out of money to send the scammer gift cards, things went south.
The attack is believed to have been an attempt to retaliate against the real Seth Rollins. Rollins himself had nothing to do with the scheme. WWE said they would prosecute the fan to the fullest extent of the law. That didn’t keep him from showing up at the latest WWE live event at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
The fan posted a video from outside MSG as he waited to get in. He later shared video from his seats on Instagram. It appears he had no problem attending the event.
“The show starts at 7:30 pm let’s Goooo
Thank you @thegarden”
Many wrestling fans who had begun following the fan made puzzled replies. Most assumed the fan was banned. Fortunately, the show went off without incident. WWE security will likely be reviewing this whole situation very soon.
In case you were wondering, Seth Rollins was not on the show, because he revealed a positive COVID-19 test.
