Baron Corbin has been one of the mainstays of WWE since he debuted on the main roster in 2016. It seems he opened up about how Vince McMahon helped him with his new gimmick.
Corbin has undergone quite a few transformations over the past couple of years, as he went from Baron Corbin to King Corbin, then down on his luck Corbin and finally Happy Corbin.
While speaking on the Out of Character with Ryan Satin podcast, Happy Corbin talked about his relationship with Vince McMahon. He also explained how McMahon gave him his new gimmick in WWE.
“It’s funny because they come up with these ideas. I think it is just being around Vince McMahon for years or Triple H. They just get a good understanding of your personality, so they tailor characters, I think. They get this idea and tailor that character based on their interactions with you over the years. It could’ve been something with Vince where I’m making him laugh or just having fun being one of the guys with him and he’s like, ‘Ah man, I got this idea where you’re just over the top happy’ and he always tells me, he is like, ‘People do not like you at all. They’re really not going to like you when you’re really happy all the time’ and so, it works. And like I said, it’s just fun, man.”
Corbin is currently teaming up with Madcap Moss, who is his underling right now. It remains to be seen how his storyline will progress in the coming months.
