Conor McGregor remains one of the most well known MMA fighters in the history of combat sports and his accolades over the years speak for themselves. The Notorious is also known to trash talk often, with varied results. Many have wondered if McGregor’s natural charisma would be a good fit for pro wrestling and their tendency to make a spectacle out of everything.

While Conor McGregor has backed up his trash talks in the past, more often than not, they have also resulted in embarrassing defeats for him. McGregor also doesn’t presently hold any title in the UFC.

While speaking with ESPN Sportsnation, CM Punk said that Floyd Mayweather and Ronda Rousey were excellent in transitioning from other combat sports to wrestling. He then said that he is sure McGregor will make his way to pro wrestling as well.

“[Floyd] Mayweather crossed over and did a match at WrestleMania, I’m sure we’re eventually going to see [Conor] McGregor come over. [Ronda] Rousey was excellent when she came over. The bottom line is making money. If you’re making money, you’re technically not doing anything wrong.”

We will have to wait and see if Conor McGregor will follow in Rousey’s footsteps and step inside the squared circle in the future or not.
