Vince McMahon’s company knows a thing or two about trademarking things and that includes the company’s own logo They obviously don’t want just anyone using their famous “W” design.

WWE filed for trademarks related to its current logo as well as the company name. The trademarks were filed on the 16th of December under the category of computer services and virtual goods with the USPTO.

It definitely seems like the company is trying to make big moves in the virtual space, considering that the trademarks have been filed in the category of computer services and virtual goods.

The trademark has detailed descriptions of the logo, which is the same for both, the computer services as well as the downloadable virtual goods category.

The mark consists of two “W”s stacked on top of each other with a “scar” underneath.

As for computer services, the trademark covers “creating an online community for users to access online world marketplaces and metaverse platforms.” It seems safe to wager that WWE is looking to build a community online, and also dip their toes in the NFT market.

When it comes to virtual goods, the trademark has provisions for “downloadable computer programs, and downloadable computer applications, browser extensions, widgets, emoticons, badges, images and chat colors, video, computer, and downloadable application game software enhancements and components.”
