Hook, who is the son of AEW commentator and former ECW and WWE star Taz, has been featured on AEW television as the silent enforcer of Team Taz. Many fans never thought he would ever wrestle. It seems Roberts is a huge fan of Hook as well.

Hook made his in-ring debut during a previous episode of AEW Rampage, where he squared off against Fuego Del Sol. Hook was certainly very impressive in his in-ring debut, as he made short work of Del Sol.

His impressive win even resulted in Hook blowing up on social media and his debut racked up larger numbers than even Bron Breakker’s did. AEW held off his debut for a good reason as well.

WWE Hall Of Famer Jake Roberts took to Twitter and gave huge props to Hook for his in-ring prowess, as he put Taz’s son over in a huge way.

“Taz’s son hungers for his affirmation and he’s willing to hit anyone who gets in his way. There will be a train wreck someday. Sammy, remember you want to be able to fight another day. #HolidayBash continues TOMORROW NIGHT on a special Christmas Night #AEWRampage”

Hook is set to square off against  Bear Bronson on AEW Rampage. We will have to wait and see whether he will make short work out of Bronson or not.
