Charlotte Flair’s booking remains one of the most polarizing decisions in WWE. Flair continues to be criticized for getting multiple shots at titles which other WWE Superstars deserved far more than she did. Despite all the backlash, WWE is set on pushing Flair to the moon and that is unlikely to stop anytime soon.
Despite all the criticism, it is a fact that Charlotte Flair is one of the best female in-ring performers in the company and that she has competed in several historic matches in the company.
On the other hand, Mickie James is a true veteran of the pro wrestling world as she was one of the mainstays of WWE’s women’s division during the mid to late 2000s. After being fired by WWE back in April, Mickie James made her way to NWA and then Impact Wrestling soon after.
While speaking on Tru Heel Heat, Mickie James revealed that she really wants to square off against Charlotte Flair before she hangs up her pro wrestling boots for good.
“I still would want a moment with Charlotte because I never got it. That’s number one. That will always be…I really wanted to have that moment with her. I don’t know why it matters so much, I’m just like ‘God, we finally got that little moment in the Rumble,’ a little beat, and it was pretty awesome.
My whole tenure there, the whole time I was back, we were never in the ring together until that moment, which is so crazy to me. I was pretty much in there…I would have loved to have a run, a real angle with Sasha, Bayley, Becky. I love all those girls, they are mega-talented and I always think about what I could do with them or what we could do together.
A match between the two is unlikely to happen anytime soon as Mickie James is currently working in Impact Wrestling. However, perhaps one day fans might get to see the match take place.
