CM Punk Trends Huge After Teaming With Sting On AEW Dynamite

Pro wrestling legend Sting made his AEW debut back at Winter Is Coming last year and it completely changed the way the company was perceived from then on. Since then, Sting has partnered up with Darby Allin and the two have proven to be a very successful combo. It seems CM Punk has started trending as well.

As many fans are aware, the Stinger name for himself in WCW, especially in his Crow persona. However, he was also known as Surfer Sting before that and was one of the top babyfaces in pro wrestling.

As seen on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash, CM Punk paid homage to Sting’s Surfer persona with his face paint during the main event of the show.

Due to this, it seems The Straight Edge Superstar has started trending on Twitter as there are more than 6k tweets about him after he teamed up with Sting.

CM Punk, Sting and Darby Allin faced off against MJF and FTR in the main event. Punk, Sting and Allin stood tall in the match, much to the delight of fans. Even Ric Flair raved about CM Punk’s Surfer Sting homage as well.
