Ryan Nemeth wrestled in WWE’s developmental territories during a time of transition. What began as Florida Championship Wrestling eventually grew into NXT. Ryan Nemeth started in FCW in 2011 and was there for the change in 2012. It was an exciting time to follow WWE’s training grounds, as things were just beginning to heat up.

Wrestling fans on Twitter are known to frequently let wrestlers, artists, actors, and musicians know what they think on the platform. It’s one of the features that makes social media so popular. Everyone is one click away from their favorite (or least favorite) superstars.

Ryan Nemeth recently experienced one such interaction. A fan criticized the look and naming conventions of developmental at the time. Another user called out the disrespect and tagged Nemeth personally. Ryan then responded directly to the original post.

My name was awesome

Get bent…

Oh you didn’t like MY ERA of developmental? The one with The Shield and the Wyatt family and the women’s revolution and half the current AEW roster? Really? That one? You weren’t into it? (Also we chose our names, you absolute braindead dipsh*ts.) I repeat: get bent.

Fans love so many of the wrestlers from that time frame in developmental (But also they hate that time frame in developmental) They say but remember how great OVW was (But also they hate boring OVW grads) Hey …you might just like being mad at things? Just say that?

Do you not think Mox, New Day, Seth, Brodie, PAC, Dax, Charlotte, Sasha, Serena, Naomi, Trent, Colt, Sami (& so many others) are amazing talents? Or Bryan Danielson? These are just a few of the people from the eras you’re conflating & dismissing. Insane! Do you like …anything?”

Fans abusing their online connections with pro wrestlers has been in the news a lot lately. Some have left the platform completely or taken breaks. Ryan Nemeth chose to stand up for himself and those he worked with. He hopes to have the last laugh during his run with All Elite Wrestling.

What do you think of Ryan Nemeth’s Twitter reply? Let us know in the comments!
