Ric Flair Called Out For Trying To Get Hired By AEW

Ric Flair made headlines after requesting his release from WWE earlier this year. It was previously said that Ric Flair wants one more in-ring run. He has teased that on numerous occasions as well.

Ric Flair also made it clear that he did not request his release because of his relationship with WWE. Vice’s Dark Side of the Ring focused on The Plane Ride From Hell, which ultimately led to everyone trying to cancel Ric Flair as well

Ric Flair also recently said that Bryan Danielson’s in-ring skills are okay, which was not received well by fans at all. While speaking on his podcast Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette addressed Ric Flair’s comments.

Jim Cornette said that he believes Ric Flair said those things because he is likely trying to get hired by AEW.

“He might want to make Triple H happy because they are friends, or used to be friends, is why he would say that about Bryan Danielson. Why would someone like Ric Flair, that in any other lifetime would not wipe his feet on Kenny Omega, after what he has done? And suddenly, is it because of his match with the prospective son-in-law, or is he hoping that Kenny Omega would get him into AEW because he’s the EVP despite the bad publicity? Why would you make such an outrageous statement when people can themselves can see that Danielson is so many levels ahead of Kenny Omega.”

Ric Flair also previously teased the possibility of joining AEW. We will have to wait and see if he ever does make his way to AEW or not.
