Roman Reigns is on a roll since his return to the company back at WWE SummerSlam last year. He returned as the Tribal Chief and truly reinvented himself. The change was several years in the making as fans clamored for it for so long

The Head of the Table has certainly been very dominant as the WWE Universal Champion as he has remained the champion for well over a year now. It is unlikely he will be losing the title anytime soon from the looks of it. He has competed against several top WWE Superstars throughout that time.

On last week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Roman Reigns did the unthinkable as he fired Paul Heyman. This certainly shocked many fans as well.

While speaking on Jim Cornette’s Drive-Thru, Jim Cornette talked about the Roman Reigns’ segment. Jim Cornette said that the segment was what pro wrestling is all about.

“Roman Reigns hugs Paul Heyman and puts his arms around him. He takes the microphone and says, ‘I love you, thank you for 40 years of service to my family, you’re fired.’ Paul is shocked. Reigns turns around to walk off and then turns back around and runs and hits with the Superman punch and Paul goes down, but his feet didn’t leave the ground. That was the lowest altitude ever on a bump, but he went down and he stayed there. And the people blew. And then Reigns has The Usos bring chairs in and they’re gonna con-chair-to Paul and not only is that a little extreme, but also the size of Paul’s head. I was worried about the chairs.

Honestly this was so good. I wish they had gone for the conchairto thing cause that’s a bit much. But boom, music before they can do it, and here comes Brock Lesnar. Brock meets The Usos on the ground, and he kicks the **** out of The Usos. Then he slides in and Reigns takes the chair to him, but he said, **** it, just stands up under him and gives him an F5. Boom, and then another. Then there is Paul, laying there like yesterday’s wash and Brock Lestner’s fired up in the ring. That was a f****** angle. I mean, that’s wrestling.”

Roman Reigns is set to defend his WWE Universal Championship at WWE Day 1 on January 1st, 2022 against Brock Lesnar. It remains to be seen how long Roman Reigns will remain the champion.
