Eddie Kingston was all set for an appearance at the Dark Horse event based at the DEFY show on Saturday. Sadly, he couldn’t make it, and the show made the announcements at the last moment that he couldn’t make it because of travel issues.
Kingston has come forward with the real reasons for why he couldn’t participate in the show. He took to Twitter and told his fans and followers that he couldn’t be at the show because he was in contact with someone who contracted COVID-19.
The AEW star could not bring himself to go to the show after knowing that he might have contracted the disease himself and would pass it on. This is why he acted responsibly and stayed home instead of working the show.
Kingston was set to work in a “Seattle Street Fight,” but couldn’t risk his fans and the crew of the show. He addressed DEFY in the tweet and explained that he has been cleared of having any infection, and will appear at DEFY 2020.
So @defyNW I was exposed to someone who tested positive for covid, so I didn’t want to take any risk until I got cleared and I am. I promise to get to Seattle 2022.
Eddie Kingston is yet to be announced for the Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite. However, since Kingston is cleared to fight, and it means we have the opportunity to see him next week.
