Roman Reigns’ return after a hiatus during the beginning of the pandemic saw him return to WWE television as a heel. He did not come alone as Paul Heyman acted as his Special Council. That partnership ended tonight.

Paul Heyman’s time as Roman Reigns’ special council ended this week as the Head of the Table fired him. There were questions about Heyman’s allegiance to the Tribal Chief and this is how he handled things.
Heyman told Roman Reigns that he was protecting him from Brock Lesnar. This was the final thing Heyman was able to say before Roman Reigns fired him and laid Heyman out with a Superman Punch.
Before Roman Reigns could do any more damage, Brock Lesnar came down and destroyed him with two F5s. This was certainly a surprising turn of events. Roman Reigns will defend the WWE Universal Title against Brock Lesnar at WWE Day 1 on January 1st.
