R-Truth is one of Vince McMahon’s most loyal employees. He’s willing to do anything to make the fans and the boss happy. Whether he’s showing up in the wrong place at the wrong time or winning the 24/7 Championship in ridiculous ways, Truth has been a company man through and through. He’s spoken candidly about his long relationship with McMahon.

The two have travelled the world together. They’ve built a great relationship despite the fact that Vince didn’t know his first name when he returned to the company. Truth sees him as a friend and not a boss.

In a recent conversation with Ryan Satin on Out of Character, R-Truth spoke about what he believes Vince likes about him. McMahon loves a straight shooter. That describes the former NWA World’s Champion perfectly.

“One thing Vince has told me is he loves the fact that I’m just me. I come straight forward. Vince is giving and I have the most highest amount of respect for Vince. Vince is almost like a friend, he wants to be there for you, he wants you to come and ask him things. If you have an idea, come to him. He makes himself very accessible to you and he intimidates a lot of people but he attracts me. Just like my aura.

I may intimidate a lot of people, if you see me coming down a dark alley at night, your eyes squinch sideways. I may intimidate you but when you get to know me, you’re like ‘Oh my god, this guy would give me the shirt off his back.’ That’s Vince McMahon.”

R-Truth recently revealed that Stephanie McMahon came up with his current ring name. He’s a 53-time 24/7 Champion at this point. In a time of uncertainty and paranoia over who will be next in line for roster cuts at WWE, R-Truth continues to maintain a strong relationship with the man in charge.
