Ryback made his debut in WWE back in 2012, where he had a noteworthy run in the company. At one time he was also very over with fans. It seems he trended on social media as well.
However, since his release in 2016, the relationship between Ryback and WWE has been rocky. Ryback has taken every opportunity to bash WWE’s product and take shots at Vince McMahon and other members of the company.
Ryback’s reputation has taken a nosedive over the years and WWE Hall Of Famer Mark Henry even called him ‘Cryback’ at one point in time. On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF namedropped Ryback while mocking CM Punk.
Ryback even responded to MJF namedropping him as he made it clear that he appreciated the shoutout. This has also resulted in Ryback trending on social media as more than 3.2k tweets have been made so far.
The fact that we’re getting “Ryback” references tells me AEW is already starting to run out of #WWE references. I can’t wait for next week’s roast joke about Vladimir Kozlov. #AEWDynamite#WinterIsComing
Ryback is trending. MJF put over Ryback better than Ryback put over Ryback

We will have to wait and see where Ryback will end up should he make his way to AEW somewhere down the line, as he expressed interest in the company in the past.
