AEW has been gobbling up free agent talent like crazy lately. Many of those are making the jump from WWE. Adam Cole, Bryan Danielson, Bobby Fish, and more have become All Elite over the past several months. It now sounds like there might be another one joining the party.
During last night’s Dynamite, Adam Cole, The Young Bucks, and Bobby Fish did a backstage segment. Cole was holding a Christmas gift. What happened next set off a firestorm of speculation on what it all might mean.
Cole promised fans that on the AEW holiday special next Wednesday, he would deliver the best Christmas present ever. Cole said fans will love it. The guessing began immediately among wrestling fans.
“On the Christmas edition of AEW Dynamite next week, it’s going to be the best Christmas present that you guys could ever ask for. Trust me, you guys are going to love this!”
Kyle O’Reilly recently left WWE after his contract expired. He responded to the tease on Twitter with a GIF from the movie “Seven” where Brad Pitt famously screams, “What’s in the box?” If you put two and two together, it seems like O’Reilly might be bound for AEW Dynamite next week.
Adam Cole has spoken in the past about how he’d like to reunite with his former Undisputed Era brother. Bobby Fish would probably love to reform ReDRagon with O’Reilly. Fans will have to tune in next week to find out what’s really in the box.
