MJF Says CM Punk Is The Next Ryback During AEW Dynamite

AEW has many former WWE Superstars on their roster, including CM Punk. There is also a report that Vince McMahon’s company is very interested in MJF’s services. The Salt Of The Earth is obviously in tune with WWE history as well.

During AEW Dynamite this week, MJF grabbed the microphone before his main event match. He had a lot to say and that promo was directed at CM Punk. In the process, MJF took a huge shot at Punk’s AEW winning streak.

“I didn’t realize that having an undefeated streak in a string of underwhelming matches against underwhelming opponents made you championship material. I thought that just made you the new Ryback.”

This line brought a huge response from the Texas crowd, and rightfully so. Of course, CM Punk and Ryback have a history with each other. This mention of Ryback like this should also be a clear indication of how MJF views the former WWE Superstar.
