Ticket sales for WWE’s upcoming Day 1 pay-per-view are doing well. The company saw a significant spike in ticket sales after announcing the Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns main event for the WWE Universal Championship. The event takes place January 1, 2022, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to WrestleTix, there has been strong interest in tickets for the show recently. The company has opened more upper deck seats to accommodate demand. Currently, the building is 83% sold out.

“WWE Day 1 Pay Per View Sat • Jan 01, 2022 • 7:30 PM State Farm Arena, Atlanta, GA Available Tickets => 1,612 Estimated Setup/Capacity => 9,594 Tickets Distributed => 7,982 (83%) Strong movement of late for this show. Upper decks have expanded”

As of December 6, only 6,769 tickets were distributed. The bump in sales is likely due to the confirmation of the Reigns vs Lesnar match taking place at the show. In the last week, WWE has moved 1,213 tickets.

While AEW outsold their competition then, WWE appears to have a strong interest in their upcoming PPV. That’s a good sign for them, as WWE hopes to make Day 1 a major annual event.
