Devon “Hannibal” Nicholson is beginning to lose pro wrestling bookings. After he repeatedly gouged the head of a referee at a recent independent event, fans and wrestlers alike demanded that nobody ever book him again. Now, some promoters are taking him off their future schedules.

Sean Sapp of Fightful recently tweeted the news. He said he knows of at least one booking that Nicholson has lost since the incident. More will surely follow as word spreads of the incident.

“I’ve already heard of Hannibal, Devon Nicholson already losing at least one booking from this past weekend’s incident.”

Nicholson was portraying his “Blood Hunter” character. In an angle that went entirely off script, he was originally supposed to make a referee blade. When things didn’t work out, he went into business for himself and began to cut referee Lando Del Toro.

Del Toro was seriously injured in the carnage. A GoFundMe was started to help offset his medical bills. He needed surgery to repair a severed artery.

There’s no place in wrestling for what Devon Nicholson did. He tried to make a name for himself by physically harming a defenseless referee. Now, he’s going to have a hard, if not impossible, time finding any future bookings.
