WWE released Bronson Reed from his NXT contract back in August as the company believed Reed simply didn’t fit the new vision of the brand. WWE also had plans for Bronson Reed on the main roster prior to his release. It seems Reed was angry after his WWE release.
Bronson Reed also previously revealed that WWE told him to smile more. He even previously called out Miro after his WWE release, making his intentions clear.
While speaking with Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, Reed, who now goes by the name Jonah, talked about his time in WWE. Jonah admitted he was angry after his release from the company.
“I didn’t have any emotion of sadness or being upset, which a lot of people do when they get released. That’s the instinct that you go to and of course you should. But I’ve been through so many ups and downs in my professional wrestling career where I’ve had things like this happen before where I was told, ‘no’ and that was it. But this time around, I was more angry because I’d worked so hard through NXT and believed in the black and gold brand.”
Jonah made his debut in NJPW last month and since then has been having a great time wrestling everywhere he wants to. He was also announced as the first entrant in PWG’s Battle of Los Angeles tournament, which will be held on January 29 and 30 next year.
