Vince McMahon is the Chairman of WWE and has the final say in everything that goes on in the company, down to the most minute of details. His way of handling business doesn’t always sit well with WWE Superstars. It seems he fined Chris Jericho for a peculiar reason.

Former WWE Superstar and current AEW Star Chris Jericho is well aware of how Vince McMahon functions as he worked with McMahon for several years before he started to work with AEW President Tony Khan.

While speaking on his Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair recalled the time Vince McMahon fined Chris Jericho $25K after Jericho busted open Ric Flair during a feud.

“You recall the time when Chris Jericho picked up the TV monitor and hit me in the head with it? I have never put my hands up in my life for anything, except for when it was Bruiser Brody with a chair, because I would just break my hands, but at least it would not break my head. So I did not put my hands up and Jericho hit me with the chair and I got 25 stitches.

So, Vince fined Jericho $25 grand and told me, ‘I should fine you for letting him do it.’ I said, ‘Letting him do what?’ Vince said, ‘Why didn’t you bring your hands up?’ I said, ‘I don’t know. But you should have asked me 25 years ago.”

Chris Jericho is perfectly content working in AEW where he won’t get fined for busting someone open and he couldn’t be more glad about that fact.
