Jeff Hardy is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world, having worked in the business for well over two decades now. He was one of the mainstays of WWE television since returning to the company back in 2017. It seems he has erratic behavior before his WWE release.
As Ringside News exclusively reported, Hardy’s issues were not a problem backstage in WWE. In fact, Roman Reigns was game to start a program with Jeff Hardy for the Royal Rumble or a Saudi Arabian show.
Jeff Hardy was replaced by Rey Mysterio in a match during a recent WWE live event in Corpus Christi. This is because he was sent back home. It even led to Jeff Hardy trending on social media.
Unfortunately, he was recently released from WWE. To add to that, Jeff Hardy even turned down rehab prior to his firing. News of his release has truly shocked the pro wrestling world to its core and many people reacted to it.
According to Sean Sapp during during a Fightful Select audio show, it was revealed that Jeff Hardy had erratic behavior prior to him getting fired by WWE.
Saturday night, Jeff Hardy was in a six-man tag team match and his behaviour was erratic. We have not reported if he was on some sort of substance, under the influence of a substance or intoxicated. We don’t know. The match was changed and adjusted on the fly because Jeff was not gonna be able to do his moves – it was very clear. By the time they knew something was off off, Jeff had tagged out, rolled out of the ring and went into the audience [mid-match].
“He was sent home the following day and WWE has released him. They offered him rehab and help, he did reject it. We’re told that he missed some signings and appearances, things like that, in the past and other wrestlers would step up and fill in for him.”
Jim Cornette also berated WWE for using Jeff Hardy’s history of substance abuse in storylines. We hope Hardy gets the necessary care that he needs to combat his demons and will have to wait and see what is next in store for him.
