Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler established themselves as one of the top tag teams in pro wrestling. They already proved their worth in AEW by winning the AEW Tag Team Titles once. The two also don’t care what their critics have to say about their matches.

FTR are true fans of the old school way of professional wrestling and was inspired by various legends, with Bret Hart being their greatest inspiration. CM Punk would certainly approve of this.

While speaking on the Casual Conversations with The Classic podcast, FTR talked about their emphasis on their old-school style of tag team wrestling. FTR admitted that they have stolen some ideas from past tag teams.

“We have ‘stolen,’ yes, but we have not stolen a tag team’s down-to-the-wire moves or move-sets or anything similar to that. At one time there was a way different concept of tag team wrestling and the fans are used to what tag team wrestling is today. Despite that, the true beauty of tag team wrestling is the nuances, the small things, how you have to work four guys into the match and work them in there in a legal way and you have to do it flawlessly and seamlessly. That slide thing you talked about, we stole that from Adrian Adonis and Dick Murdoch, they would do the exact same thing and have the hold, maybe they would roll him off, tag, and then slide in front to cut them off and that is just one of many of those little nuances.”

Jim Cornette also recently stated that FTR is undermined in AEW. It remains to be seen what is next in store for FTR in AEW.
