Jade Cargill has had enough with wrestling fans on Twitter. The AEW star deleted her Twitter account earlier today. The account is showing as inactive at this time.
Cargill posted the news to her Instagram story. The Instagram account is still active. Jade posted a screen shot after she deleted the Twitter account. She captioned it, “Goodbye Twitter.”
Recently, Jade commented via Tweet that she’s sick of fans hating on black women who wrestle. She said she was going to start talking about it. Apparently, the backlash wasn’t worth it, so she deleted the account.
“What do some (not all) of you fans have against black women wrestlers? I hear it so much and it sickens me. It’s 2021. I’m talking about it. Cause everyone else is scared. I’m not.”
Jade’s unfortunate Twitter experience has now come to an end. She’s not the only AEW star to bail from the platform recently. Cody Rhodes recently left Twitter. He donated his account to AEW Community Outreach.
This came about just after she caught a lot of attention for her comment about pro wrestling fans not supporting black female wrestlers.
The decision will surely spark more debate amongst wrestling fans. That’s why Jade Cargill made the comments she did in the first place. She doesn’t think there should be a debate about the issue she’s raised at all.
