Elijah Burk Gives Injury Update After Scary Bump At NWA Hard Times 2

Elijah Burke had a very scary moment during the NWA Hard Times 2 PPV that took place on Saturday, December 4, 2021. The Pope came down to help NWA World Champion Trevor Murdoch in his match against Mike Knox after Matt Cardona interfered.

Burke was tossed into the ringside steel stairs during the ensuing brawl. He was taken to a hospital in Atlanta after the event. He tweeted that he’s doing just fine.

“As many of you know I was recently taken by ambulance to a hospital in ATL following @NWA Hard Times 2. I would like to assure you that all is 100% well with Pope. In wrestling we take our bumps & bruises while continually forging ahead. However, today there are certain protocols in effect to ensure the well being of performers like myself and getting medically evaluated and cleared is one of them. I’d like to thank the ENTIRE NWA family, many who gave up hours of their own time to ensure Pope’s safety. Thank You ~PHS”

Burke was referring to a get-well card he received. He included a photo of the greeting with the tweet. Fortunately, his injuries are just bumps and bruises. Elijah was very grateful for the support.

It’s good to hear that Elijah Burke only suffered minor injuries at the NWA PPV. He has a history with the organization, as well. Burke held the NWA Television Championship for nearly a year before finally being defeated for the title in August by Tyrus.
