Brock Lesnar was not seen on WWE television after dropping the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. That changed at WWE SummerSlam, where he made his shocking return to WWE television and confronted Roman Reigns. Brock officially came back as a babyface, much to the delight of fans.
Brock Lesnar squared off against Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at WWE Crown. He would be defeated by Reigns after interference from The Usos. Naturally, he was very irate at this turn of events.
Lesnar then destroyed Roman Reigns on a previous episode of WWE Smackdown. Due to this, he was indefinitely suspended. He then put his hands on Adam Pearce as he hit him with two F5s. Because of his actions, Brock Lesnar was fined $1 million by WWE.
However, Brock Lesnar’s suspension was then lifted and it was then announced that he will be returning on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown..
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE originally had a different plan for Brock Lesnar’s return to WWE television. Originally Lesnar was supposed to buy a ticket to attend the Los Angeles on the 3rd December episode of Friday Night Smackdown.
Lesnar returns on 12/3 in San Antonio and is also booked on 12/10 for Smackdown in Los Angeles. Originally he was still going to be suspended and would do the deal where he bought a ticket to attend the Los Angeles show, but on the 11/26 Smackdown the show was built around Braxton ending the show announcing that Lesnar’s suspension was lifted while Pearce acted shocked that Reigns and company also were.
We will have to wait and see what Brock Lesnar will do once he returns on next week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, as Lesnar certainly has revenge in mind right now.
