WWE security employee Scott Aycock spent 17 years with the company. News broke today that he was recently released. Fans immediately began to speculate as to whether it had anything to do with the recent fan attack on Seth Rollins during a live airing of Monday Night Raw.
Aycock commented on his departure on his LinkedIn account. He said he made many lasting memories. He developed plenty of great friendships and called his time with WWE “amazing.”
“Im closing one huge chapter and starting another. This month of November is the end of my amazing career with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) after 17 years. The memories will last forever and the friendships will last in my heart for eternity. Some amazing, hard working people that I have been blessed to get to know. May God Bless you all, I will see you down the road.”
Aycock’s departure from WWE remains a mystery. The reason he was let go is still unknown. From his tone, it sounds like there is no bad blood between him and the company.
It is also still unknown if Scott Aycock was working the night Rollins was assaulted. For the time being, nobody but Aycock and his former employers know the real circumstances of the split. Aycock began with the company as a bus driver and began his security job in 2005, according to the LinkedIn profile.
