WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle has not returned to pro wrestling since his release, but that didn’t stop WWE from offering him a role. He is certainly one of the best pro wrestlers to have ever graced the squared circle. He had a tremendous career in WWE, spanning multiple World Title runs and incredible matches.
He has squared off against the best of the best the pro wrestling world has to offer and accomplished a lot. Angle retired from in-ring competition after WrestleMania 35, where he lost to Baron Corbin.
While speaking on his podcast, Drive-Thru, Jim Cornette talked about Kurt Angle’s recent comments where he compared Kenny Omega to the likes of Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles. Cornette believes that Kurt Angle will come out of retirement and square off against Kenny Omega, as long as Tony Khan offers him enough money for it.
“If Kurt made his return for another match, it’d be for whoever pays the most money. So, I would not bet against that because I bet Tony Khan would pay him the most money. And I have a feeling that Kurt Angle made that statement fully aware of the fact that if he was to have one more match, the person who would pay the most money for it would probably be Tony Khan. And I would further add that Angle is fully aware of the fact that if Khan was going to pay him a large sum of money to have one more match, Tony Khan would probably want to see it against Kenny Omega.”
Angle also revealed the exorbitant amount of money he’d need to wrestle one more match, which would likely be against Kenny Omega as well. It remains to be seen if it will ever happen or not.
