Becky Lynch is scheduled to defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Liv Morgan on Monday Night Raw next week.
According to WrestlingNews.co, Lynch will also defend her title on New Year’s Day at Day 1. A potential spoiler has now surfaced regarding that Day 1 match.
Becky Lynch is reportedly going to defend her Raw Women’s Championship at the big Day 1 pay-per-view on New Year’s Day. The current plan is to let Becky win in the upcoming WWE Raw Women’s Title match against Liv Morgan and retain. The match will air on Monday Night Raw and results seem to be leaked already.
WWE is also making an effort of advertising Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair as a big saga for upcoming house shows. This would seemingly suggest that the plan is for her to retain the title over Morgan on Monday. If the Bianca Belair story is to be executed, Becky would also score the Day 1 event it seems.
Previously Liv Morgan won a Fatal 5-Way match to become the No. 1 contender for Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. She was however defeated by Lynch in that event. Since then, Morgan is looking to capitalize on her opportunity.
The plan could always be for Morgan to be protected in defeat, perhaps with Lynch cheating. House show cards are always subject to change but as per the Day 1 report, we might be looking forward to a Lynch retention.
