Brock Lesnar was not seen on WWE television after dropping the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. That changed at WWE SummerSlam, where he made his shocking return to WWE television and confronted Roman Reigns. Brock officially came back as a babyface, much to the delight of fans.
Before his return to the company, many fans also wondered whether The Beast Incarnate would ever make his way to AEW as his future with WWE was uncertain at that point in time.
While speaking on his YouTube channel, Jim Cornette was asked to compare both CM Punk and Brock Lesnar’s star power. While doing so, Cornette stated that he believes Brock Lesnar would not be a good fit in AEW.
”You would not really have to start anything from scratch with Brock Lesnar. because he fits the WWE mold. He fits their style. In AEW, you would not have that. On the other hand, if Punk went to WWE again, the same thing would be true. He would have history, but you have to start building things from scratch, and I am not sure if that fan base would be as excited to see him back as the AEW fan base is to see him there.”
It is highly unlikely Brock Lesnar will ever make his way to AEW as he is simply a huge draw in WWE. On the other hand, CM Punk is more than happy working in AEW and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
