Bron Breakker will play a key role for Team 2.0 in this Sunday’s NXT WarGames match against Team Black and Gold. Breakker will be backed by NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes, Grayson Waller, and loveable Mafioso Tony D’Angelo as the newcomers take on the old guard. The old school crew consists of NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne, and LA Knight.
It will be Breakker’s biggest match since debuting in NXT 2.0. Bron appeared on WWE’s The Bump today and talked about the shoes he has to fill. He’s the son of Rick Steiner and the nephew of his brother, Scott Steiner. The two are wrestling legends.
“I don’t worry about that, man. I don’t pay attention to any of that. I just focus on what I’m doing on a daily basis. I just focus on my coaching and the things I’m being taught. I focus on the mistakes I’ve made, so I can correct them and be better the next day.
Obviously, there are high expectations for me, you know, because of what my dad and uncle did before me. You know, I’m here to make a name for myself.”
Bron Breakker has had his sights set on Ciampa’s NXT title since he first showed up. He can prove a lot to skeptical NXT fans with a great performance in the WarGames match. His uncle and father are both WarGames veterans from their time in WCW.
WarGames is one of the most brutal matches in professional wrestling. A lot of eyes are going to be on the new talent to see how they handle it. Bron Breakker sounds like he’s ready to make his family proud while carving his own path.
