Dominik Mysterio Thought It Was A Joke When Told About Seth Rollins Feud

Rey Mysterio’s son Dominik has become a mainstay of the main roster and WWE television since making his debut back in 2019. Since then Dominik Mysterio has been featured extensively in various storylines, including a program with Seth Rollins.

Dominik Mysterio would go on to have a singles match against Seth Rollins at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view last year. It seems Dominik couldn’t believe he was going to face Rollins.

While speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Dominik Mysterio talked about how he felt when he was told by his father about feuding with Seth Rollins. Dominik Mysterio admitted he thought it was a joke at first.

“Oh, most definitely. I was excited, I thought it was a joke at first. When he told me I thought my dad was kidding but they were serious and it ended up becoming one of my favorite matches, and I’ve only had a year [laughs].

When he asked me he’s like, ‘No, it’s serious.’ I told him, ‘Alright, let’s do it.’ I thought I was ready. I had been training already for a little over two years. So, if there was gonna be a time, now is the time. I wasn’t gonna skip on this opportunity.”

Dominik Mysterio would end up losing to Seth Rollins in the match but he had an incredible showing as the match turned out to be one of the best on the card that night. Dominik Mysterio certainly has a bright future ahead of him so it remains to be seen what is next in store for him.
