Adam Page found his success with fans organically thanks to his relatable character work and excellent in-ring skills. He is also part of one of the most compelling storylines in AEW thanks to his storyline with Kenny Omega. It seems even Bryan Danielson is glad for Adam Page.

AEW Full Gear was a night of incredible moments and terrific matches, perhaps the best being the main event. It saw Adam Page challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship.

In a culmination of a multi-year-long storyline, Adam Page finally defeated Kenny Omega to win the AEW World Championship – a promise he had made years prior. Earlier in the night, Bryan Danielson defeated Miro to become the #1 contender for the AEW World Championship.

While speaking on The Wrestling Classic, Bryan Danielson talked about Adam Page winning the AEW World Championship. Danielson stated that it speaks volumes for the company, which was able to trust Page so much.

“I think Hangman Page is awesome. I think that when people connect like that with a crowd, it becomes magic, like that is definitely what you want. He really is not not somebody who had, you know Kenny Omega had a name coming in. The previous champions, you know what I mean, you look at Jericho, you look at Moxley and Kenny. You know, Kenny was not in WWE and he had made a huge name for himself in Japan and all that stuff. Hangman really did not have that big of a name.

I look at him as an AEW homegrown star. So it’s really cool when I am on a show so when he came out and won ladder match, the loudest reaction of that day was Hangman Page. To me that was really cool. For me, that speaks volumes of him as far as how he’s been able to progress. It speaks volumes of AEW where they trust somebody to do that. In AEW being the world champion is a big thing.”

Adam Page is currently engaged in a feud with a newly-turned heel in Bryan Danielson. We will have to wait and see how their feud will develop in the coming months.
