WWE had been hyping up the Survivor Series enthusiastically only in the week leading up to it. Therefore, it is understandable yet still disappointing that fans have not been showing enough interest in the event.
The reception to Sunday’s Survivor Series pay-per-view on the 21st of November was lukewarm at best. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that the show generated a measly 200,000 Google searches.
This kind of response can be expected from a typical “b-show.” However, for a major event like the Survivor Series, these numbers are straight up underwhelming.
In comparison, AEW’s All Out event in September generated over half a million searches. In light of this, it is clear to see that the Survivor Series simply did not generate enough buzz, despite featuring prominent names such as Roman Reigns and Jeff Hardy.
