Former Ring of Honor (ROH) World Champion Jay Lethal will be wrestling his final match for the promotion. Lethal will take on EC3 in a singles match for ROH TV’s tapings scheduled to air this weekend.
The Lethal-EC3 match will do down in ROH’s history as the 36-year-old’s final match for the Sinclair Broadcast Group-owned promotion ahead of the planned hiatus that is expected to last until April of the next year.
Lethal first appeared in ROH in 2003 and stayed with the company until 2006. He returned to the promotion full-time in 2011. During his decade plus stay with the company, Lethal won numerous championships in the promotion.
His accolades include multiple ROH World Heavyweight and Television championship reigns, as well as one reign each as ROH Pure Champion and World Tag Time Champion. He’s also the third triple crown champion as well as the third grand slam champion in the company’s history.
Letha is currently signed to AEW and made his debut for the company at their Full Gear PPV this month. His in-ring debut took place on the Nov. 17 edition of AEW Dynamite where he lost to the reigning TNT Champion Sammy Guevara in a title match.
