Charlotte Flair Didn’t Think She Could Keep Up With Asuka

Many fans are simply tired of Charlotte Flair’s current booking in WWE. She remains criticized for receiving too many title shots. Several fans felt more deserving competitors should have gotten. In spite of all the outrage, WWE is set on pushing Flair to the moon and that is unlikely to stop anytime soon.

Despite all the criticism, it is a fact that Charlotte Flair is one of the best female in-ring performers in the company and that she has competed in several historic matches in the company.

Charlotte Flair and Asuka were formerly rivals a few years ago in WWE. In fact, Flair was the one who handed Asuka her first loss on the main roster back at WrestleMania 34.

While speaking on the Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair gave massive props to Asuka for his skills. He then claimed that Charlotte Flair told him that she didn’t think she could keep up with Asuka.

”You know, Ashley would tell me, ‘Dad, I will be wrestling Asuka. I really do not think I can keep up with her.’ That is a massive compliment, right? Because Asuka brings a style so unique, so authentic and something that is so real – that match she and Ashley had at WrestleMania, they stole the show. I mean, they just pretty much stole the show.”

Charlotte Flair also previously stated that Asuka took her to the next level at WrestleMania 34. Asuka has been absent from WWE television after suffering an injury. It remains to be seen when she will return and what the company will have planned for her when she does.
