Ric Flair Says Adam Page Winning AEW World Title Was Long Overdue

Adam Page found his success with fans organically thanks to his relatable character work and excellent in-ring skills. He is also part of one of the most compelling storylines in AEW thanks to his storyline with Kenny Omega. It seems Ric Flair is a huge fan of Adam Page.

AEW Full Gear was a night of incredible moments and terrific matches, perhaps the best being the main event. It saw Adam Page challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship.

In a culmination of a multi-year-long storyline, Adam Page finally defeated Kenny Omega to win the AEW World Championship – a promise he had made years prior. Earlier in the night, Bryan Danielson defeated Miro to become the #1 contender for the AEW World Championship.

While speaking on the WOOOOO Nation Uncensored podcast, Ric Flair stated that Adam Page winning the AEW World Title was long overdue. Flair also added that he was a fan of Adam Page from day one.

”I have liked him since day one and I think him being the Champion now is long overdue. I believe is great. I only know him like, just said hi and I have shaken his hand a couple of times, but he is respectfu. Page works incredibly hard in the ring, he possesses a really good gimmick, he is a very handsome young man and I think he should have a hell of a run with the title.”

Adam Page is currently engaged in a feud with a newly-turned heel in Bryan Danielson. We will have to wait and see how their feud will develop in the coming months.
