Seth Rollins was jumped unexpectedly by a fan as he made his entrance for a promo on last night’s WWE Monday Night Raw. The fan attempted to tackle Rollins but was quickly subdued by WWE security. Video of the incident from all angles went viral.
The fan was later identified as 24-year-old Elisah Spencer. Spencer was charged with assault and violating an arts or cultural affair. NYPD arrested the offender on at Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York. Now, we know that Seth Rollins suffered minor injuries in the attack. ESPN’s Marc Raimondi tweeted an update.
“Per police, Rollins suffered swelling to his lip, but refused medical attention. More coming to @espn.”
Rollins’ refusal of medical treatment makes it sound like he’s doing OK. It’s fortunate that the situation didn’t become way worse. The Rollins incident was not the only report of unruly fan behavior from last night’s Raw crowd.
Rollins’ girlfriend, WWE superstar Becky Lynch, was spotted checking on him after the attack. It’s fortunate that nobody was hurt or killed. Chavo Guerrero thinks it’s unfair that Spencer got away unscathed.
You can check out the results for a chaotic episode of Raw here. There were two title changes on the show. The mystery of the golden egg has also been solved.
