Jim Ross has been suffering with various health issues lately. Despite ongoing treatment for skin cancer, the AEW commentator hasn’t skipped a beat. Now, he can add back surgery to his list of medical problems.

It won’t be enough to keep Ross away from the booth, though. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Ross intends to be at the Chicago Dynamite on November 24. His skin cancer radiation treatment will then start next Monday.

Ross said he planned on being at the show despite the cancer treatment, but the back surgery is a new wrench. It was previously reported that he might need to take time off from his AEW duties to deal with his cancer. JR loves his work, though, and will be there in Chicago.

Jim Ross has remained active despite the cancer diagnosis. He recently attended the Jacksonville Jaguars game as a guest of Tony Khan. He’s also continued with his podcast as well as his normal AEW announcing gig.
