Roman Reigns is the current WWE Universal Champion and is one of the top Superstars in the company right now. He has proven himself to be an excellent champion with great character work and in-ring skills. Reigns’ reinvention as a heel has truly shown just how good he can be both as an in-ring performer and character.

It came after several years of being forced onto fans as a babyface. There is certainly no doubt that most WWE Superstars who have faced off against Roman Reigns in the past year has come off better, especially someone like Jey Uso.

Roman Reigns has defeated every single opponent put before him over the past year. Due to this many fans are also wondering whether Reigns will ever be defeated by a credible opponent.

While speaking to BT Sport, Paul Heyman stated that he believes Roman Reigns is suffering from a lack of viable opponents for his WWE Universal Championship.

“The problem with Roman Reigns is not the limit of his greatness. Roman’s greatness gets more defined as every performance is put forth. The problem with Roman Reigns is; we have such a limited number of people that we can viably and actually work with that people will look at and say, ‘That’s an opponent for Roman Reigns, that’s someone I’d like to see challenge the Tribal Chief.’

That’s why Brock Lesnar’s return is so huge. We don’t have five other people waiting in the wings that automatically step up and can be a credible opponent for Roman Reigns.”

As reported earlier, Brock Lesnar is no longer suspended from WWE. It remains to be seen whether he will return and feud with Roman Reigns next month or not.
