Big E’s journey to the top of WWE has been one full of hurdles and obstacles at every step of the way. After a solid run in NXT, Big E made his way to the main roster but was eventually lost in the shuffle. It seems there was a minor freakout backstage at WWE Survivor Series as well.

According to a report by PWInsider, that there were concerns and also what was described as a “minor freak out” backstage during the main event between WWE Champion Big E and the winner WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

This is because officials were concerned about running out of time for the show. The Survivor Series pay-per-view was scheduled to go off the air at exactly 11:35pm ET, and still had the main event match remaining.

In the end, the company had many minutes remaining, but at that moment when there was concern backstage, there were people wondering why the participants in the Men’s 5-on-5 Traditional Elimination Match were given so much time for their entrances.
