MJF has established himself as one of the best heels in the modern-day pro wrestling world. It took him barely any time to cement himself as one of the top stars in AEW. It seems Tony Khan is fine with a bidding war for MJF.
The Salt of the Earth is dedicated to his character as he never breaks kayfabe, inside or outside the squared circle. His dedication to his credit has won him over with fans who simply love to hate him.
MJF recently revealed that he will go where the money is after his current AEW contract expires in 2024. MJF even stated that there will be a bidding war for him in 2024, adding that to his recent promos as well.
While speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast, AEW President Tony Khan talked about MJF’s contract expiring in 2024. Khan revealed that he is fine with a bidding war for MJF in 2024.
”Yes, I knew he was going to say that, he’s been saying it for a long time. I have no problem with it. I signed him to a five year contract two years ago, he has three years left. I’m totally fine (with his comments). There may be a bidding war in 2024, I’m fine with that.”
MJF’s stock continues to rise in AEW and by the time 2024 rolls around, it is likely a bidding war will start for him. It remains to be seen whether he will stick with AEW or not by then.
