To say that the amount of releases WWE has made in the last year borders on insane would be putting it way too mildly. Their last crop of releases came just yesterday, as we’ve reported, and amongst those names, was Isaiah “Swerve” Scott.

He was part of the Hit Row faction. They actually all got released yesterday, with one member, B-Fab having been released with the previous roster cuts made on the 4th of November. Scott was more than just Hit Row however. For so many fans, he was an NXT staple and one that was making a name for himself for quite some time.

He started wrestling in 2011 and worked his way through many promotions before landing in WWE in 2019. Three of the more major indie promotions he wrestled in on his rise were: Combat Zone Wrestling, Major League Wrestling and of course the now defunct Lucha Underground.

It was perhaps there, while he was known as Killshot, that the audience saw what he was capable of – a level of conviction and discipline that isn’t always easily found. Yet like so many others of the talented roster cuts made in the last two years over at WWE, this one’s definitely odd as well. The light at the end of the tunnel here, is of course the fact that many companies are in fact interested in Scott once his no-compete clause with WWE is over.

As far as his other counterparts in Hit Row, it was confirmed by Fightful Select that Top Dolla was released for more than apparent budgetary cuts, they citing that he had gotten himself in trouble due to his recent tirades on social media. He had also attacked The Young Bucks and AEW. He showing up there is unlikely.

Fightful also claimed, however, that Isaiah Swerve Scott is a topic of interest for many of the major wrestling promotions out there. It’ll be interesting to see where this epic talent ends up next. It’s safe to assume that wherever that is, he should definitely make waves.
