Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have held the AAA Tag Team titles since mid-October. Since then, they’ve defended the belts against the Lucha Bros in AEW. The team has still yet to appear in the promotion they’re the champions of.
Scheduled for the most recent AAA television tapings, FTR were unable to attend due to travel issues caused by weather. Now, their debut for the lucha libre promotion will be delayed again. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, FTR will not turn up until the December 4 TripleMania Regia event in Monterrey.
“FTR ended up missing the last set of TV tapings due to weather issues so their debut as champions in this promotion won’t be until the 12/4 TripleMania Regia show in Monterrey.”
Depending on Harwood’s injury status, that date could be pushed even further into the future. Dax is dealing with a bruised tailbone and other injuries. He was hurt about ten minutes into FTR’s Full Gear match with Penta and Rey Fenix.
FTR will have to get to Mexico to at least drop the titles at some point. Hopefully, Dax isn’t suffering with anything serious that would keep him out for an extended period. It will be interesting to see how AAA handles the titles if FTR are unable to get there to defend them.
In addition to the AAA honors, FTR has held every men’s tag team title in WWE. They’re also former AEW Tag Team champions. The duo has been teaming together since their days on the independent circuit.
