WWE will be moving into it’s new corporate home in late 2022. The new digs are located two miles from the current office building. The new WWE office will be the largest tenant in a complex that will also add tobacco company Philip Morris International. The building is located in downtown Stamford, Connecticut.
The Stamford Advocate described the new space and circumstances surrounding the move. WWE first announced the move in March of 2019. They will occupy 415,000 square feet of office space in the complex.
The move was originally estimated for completion by 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic started, and everything was delayed for the company. The company simply wasn’t spending money on a new building at a time when live events were completely shut down.
With the WWE third quarter financials looking strong, things got back on track for the move. Vince McMahon said a return to live touring was key to the company’s fiscal success.
“Our solid financial results are pretty strong as a result of the global demand of all things WWE, including a return to live event touring, which is unlike any other media company. This is where the WWE brand really comes alive in so many different respects.”
WWE’s corporate headquarters has remained in Titan Towers since 1991. The company plans to sell the building before relocating. It will be the end of an era for many WWE fans who have fond memories of the iconic building.
