Keith Lee’s release from WWE only a year after his initiation on the main roster was a shocker to many fans. The former RAW superstar has been slowly opening up about his release from the promotion. He recently responded to fans claiming that they won’t watch WWE ever again after his WWE release.
Lee was among the 18 WWE superstars who were released by the brand. He was among the most unexpected names in the list, such as Ember Moon, Nia Jax and Karrion Kross. However, Lee is looking ahead into what his future holds, which is evidenced by his recent tweet.
The former Bearcat took to Twitter in order to share a picture from his final appearance on the show. Instead of talking about his emotional journey, he expressed that he will miss the singlet he’d worn into the ring that day. He captioned the picture:
Final moments….RIP to that singlet. It’ll be interesting to see what the future holds.
Keith Lee reminisced over his last moments in the ring. As he said that “it’ll be interesting to see” exactly where he’ll land in the future, there’s no surety as to which pro-wrestling promotion will he be a part of.
The former WWE superstar had only returned on RAW in September after his hiatus. There was a lot of negative press surrounding his return, such as Booker T claiming that WWE will never trust him with being a champion. Even an ex-WWE writer claimed that Lee will never go over.
Lee went through several changes in his last few days at WWE. Predictions about his release were already being made as Jim Cornette said that Lee would head for AEW after his WWE release. However, with Lee himself being unsure, we can only wait and watch.
