Jeff Hardy’s subpar booking Monday Night RAW led many to believe that the company has given up on pushing him. Fans also vented about the same on social media. It seems his old theme song played a huge role in him re-signing with WWE.
It even came to a point that his brother Matt Hardy talked about the subject of his poor booking in the company. Despite all that, Jeff Hardy made it clear that he is simply there to do his job and that is all that he cares about.
The Charismatic Enigman also added that he never felt uncomfortable with anything that WWE has pitched him in his career, even if they dealt with his real-life issues.
Jeff Hardy also brought back his highly popular ‘No More Words’ theme song earlier this year, after more than a decade. While speaking with BT Sport, Jeff Hardy revealed that he signed a 2-year extension with WWE only after they confirmed he could bring back the ‘No More Words’ theme song.
“That was the deal when I re-signed. I was like, ‘I’ll sign for two years as long as I get my old theme back called ‘No More Words.’ We came to find that they owned the song so there was no reason I couldn’t. My first night in front of a live audience, I got it back and it’s just like it never left. It was so powerful. I think [WWE] realized, ‘Yeah, that was a good decision.”
So it seems Jeff Hardy will be sticking with WWE at least until next year. It remains to be seen if he will leave WWE for AEW and join his brother Matt Hardy or not after that.
