The Miz Talks About Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair’s Broken Friendship

The Miz appeared on this morning’s Today Show 3^rd Hour to promote the WWE Survivor Series. He hyped up the show as the traditional battle of the brands. He also was asked by the hosts if wrestlers were actually friends or if they were sometimes enemies.

Miz took the opportunity to talk about the ongoing backstage heat between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. He said the two used to be friends, but at some point, they weren’t anymore. He used the heat to put over their upcoming bout.

“Right now, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, they’re going to be going head to head at Survivor Series and they’re not friends anymore. They were friends… Like, real friends, and I don’t think they’re friends anymore. I haven’t talked to them in a while, but I’m watching what they’re doing on SmackDown and Raw and I’m going, ‘Oh boy, this is a gonna be a match you wanna see.’”

The former WWE champ also talked about his character work. He described the difference between Mike Mizanin and The Miz. He said his character couldn’t be further from who he really is.

“I don’t consider myself very egotistical. I feel like Miz is always talking in the third person. The Miz is awesome, The Miz is the greatest… Mike doesn’t talk like that at home. Mike at home is just like, playing with his three-year-old daughter and his two-year-old daughter and just having tea parties.”

The Survivor Series PPV takes place this Sunday from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The show features a traditional Survivor Series elimination tag match with men and women from Raw and SmackDown competing head-to-head. The show’s main event pits WWE Champion Big E against Universal Champ Roman Reigns.
