Ruby Soho has quickly become one of AEW’s most popular wrestlers. After arriving in the company over the summer, she almost immediately rocketed to the top of the card. She faced Britt Baker for the AEW Women’s World championship in a massive main event at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.

After Wednesday’s Dynamite went off the air, the ring was filled with several AEW stars, including CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and even Tony Khan. Ruby approached Punk, who was sitting in the corner and said something to him. Last night, Ruby shared the brief conversation on Twitter.

“After we went off the air on Wednesday was something I’ll never forget. When Punk handed me the mic I asked him “What do I say?” & he said “Whatever you want.” Idk if I’ll ever have the words to express my gratitude to @AEW , but I’ll spend the rest of career trying to find them”

Ruby then made a heartfelt address to the crowd. She said she’s been a Hoosier her entire life. It meant a lot to Ruby to work in front of the hometown fans.

“Y’all are the reason I do this. Some of you guys have known me since the very beginning, and I’m so grateful for it.”

It was a heartfelt moment. You can tell Ruby is thrilled to not be chained by the WWE writing team. After the speech, the crowd went wild as Ruby and Tony Khan embraced. It’s great to see Ruby Soho loving wrestling again!
