AEW brought in Malakai Black a lot sooner than anyone expected. Thanks to a clerical error from WWE, he only had a 30-day non-compete clause. He used that error to debut with Tony Khan’s company only 35 days after he was cut instead of having to wait the typical 90 days. He is only getting started.

Fulton County Post recently spoke to Black where they asked him about his House of Black stable. He would love to add more members and lead his own faction in AEW. Of course, that is 100% Tony Khan’s call.
“Are there plans for it? Absolutely. Can you expect it? I don’t know, that’s not a decision I can completely make. Is it something I want? Absolutely. I think that the idea of House of Black is obviously when you say, ‘a House,’ that means multiple people. A house isn’t a house until people live in it.”
“There is definitely an idea that I have, more so than I have revealed to even Tony, with the House of Black. But like I said, in due time. Everything comes in steps and we don’t want to rush anything, at least I don’t want to rush anything. Everything goes slowly, everything takes its time, everything is methodical. When the time is right, hopefully, you will see some faces appear.”
We will see what the future holds for Malakai Black in AEW. He has a big tag team match at Full Gear where he will team with Andrade El Idolo to take on Cody Rhodes and Pac. That match was originally slated to be a fatal four-way, but Tony Khan had other plans in mind.
