WWE is gearing up for WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, Texas. The company recently kicked off festivities with a ticket on-sale party at AT&T Stadium. When they decide to bring WrestleMania to a city, the promotion takes over for a full week of activities. This year’s Mania schedule has some striking omissions as of its latest revision.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE currently doesn’t have an NXT TakeOver event scheduled. The agenda also doesn’t list a Hall of Fame ceremony at this time. Either could theoretically be added at some point between now and then, however.

“Regarding WrestleMania week, the company announced the full schedule. Keys are that there is no NXT Takeover or NXT event right now scheduled, nor is there a Hall of Fame event announced at this point, although that could be added for Thursday. We were told by those in WWE that the talk was that there would be activities set up in the Dallas area from Wednesday through Monday. While WWE had talked of doing Raw at a smaller stadium in town, they were able to book the American Airlines Center, their usual arena, for both Smackdown on 4/1 and Raw on 4/4. WrestleMania AXXESS will be at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.”

This will be the first chance for WWE to put on a huge live event with a capacity crowd since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Last year’s event in Tampa only allowed limited capacity. Both nights combined would not have filled the stadium.

Given the fact that WWE consistently touts the live experience as being a huge part of building fans, it’s surprising that there are no plans for the two big events. The two-night nature of the event may mean NXT talent will work on the main show, since there is so much time to fill over both days. Perhaps they will simply add the show and announce it later.

As of now, the schedule for WrestleMania week in Dallas looks a little thin. Fans will be keepin an eye out to see if the company does add an NXT event. The Hall of Fame seems to be the more likely of the two, but WWE could announce something any day.
